WATERLOO — Terry Joe Johnston, 64, of Inverness, Fla., formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, July 12, in Hernando, Fla.

He was born March 31, 1946, in Jefferson City, Mo., son of Edgar A. and Mary Autenrieth Johnston.

Mr. Johnston was employed by John Deere and Co. and Tropitone Furniture Co. in Sarasota, Fla. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam era.

Survived by: a son, Zach of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Prudence Clark of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren; his father of Inverness, Fla.; a brother, Lorin of Sarasota, Fla.; and a sister, Alverna Magee of Waterloo.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623.
