CEDAR FALLS - Anna A. Rittgers, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, July 17, at Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

She was born Aug. 8, 1914, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Niels and Anna Marie Hansen Rasmussen. She married Lester F. Rittgers Sept. 6, 1941, in Cedar Falls. He died Aug. 11, 2008.

She graduated from Cedar Falls High School and attended Gates Business School. The couple farmed in rural Cedar Falls from 1947 until their retirement.

Survived by: two sons, Lee (Sandy) Rittgers and Larry (Suzy) Rittgers, both of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Lois Stork of New Hartford, Mary (Tom) Kies of Jesup and Lynn (John) Korecki of Umpqua, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: seven brothers, one in infancy, Peter, Rasmus, Hans, Niels, Carl and Ernest Rasmussen; and three sisters, Mary Pederson, Emilie Rasmussen and Alma Pedersen.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Falls Lutheran Home Chapel, with burial in Fairfield Township Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the chapel.
