CEDAR FALLS — Earl E. "Bud" Williamson, 80, of Cedar Falls, died at home Monday, July 5, of cancer.

He was born Oct. 19, 1929, in Brandon, son of Howard L. and Nellie L. Kelly Williamson. He married Rozella A. Gates Jan. 22, 1949, in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Williamson served in the National Guard and was employed as a plumber with B&G Heating and Plumbing. He went to work as an electrician with Meisner Electric, Marshalltown, and retired from Menninga Electric in 1991.

Survived by: his wife; two daughters, Sherry (Larry) Wyant and Brenda (Jeff) Northey, both of Waterloo; two sons, Bruce of Cedar Falls and David (Connie) of Berglengenfield, Germany; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jim (Joyce), Jerry (Joanne), Bill (Debbie) and Rick (Julie) Williamson; and four sisters, Betty (Paul) Eastman, Eula (Mel) Johnson, Rosa (George) Ashbrenner and Rita (Ron) Nielsen.

Preceded in death by: two daughters, Cynthia Williamson and Dianna Crane; two brothers, Russell and Harold Williamson; and a sister, Donna Williamson.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the family.
