WATERLOO - Deborah K. Sailor, 53, of Waterloo, formerly of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, June 30, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

She was born May 8, 1957, in Fort Dodge, daughter of Otis Lee and Pearlie Mae Owens Pickett. She married Joseph A. Sailor Jr. in November of 1992 in Waterloo.

She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1975 and received a paralegal associate's degree from Kaplan University. Mrs. Sailor was the head chef at Bishop's Buffet for several years. She was a member of Harvest Vineyard Church.

Survived by: her husband; three daughters, Taneah Petitt of Washington, D.C., Veronica Petitt of Coralville and Whitley Weston of Coralville; a stepdaughter, Talitha Difenbacker of Waterloo; six grandchildren, Naomi, Aanaiya, Tjaden, Jiselle Armon and Kaedyn; three step-grandchildren, KiKi, Asia and Maya; three sisters, Ethel Mae Pickett of Meridian, Miss., Oletha Pickett of Waterloo and Shirlee (Richard) Brown of Minneapolis; three brothers, Otis L. Pickett Jr. of Buffalo, N.Y., Percy Rochon Jr. of Los Angeles and Willie L. Pickett of Fort Dodge.

Preceded in death by: her parents; two sisters, Helen Pickett and Theresa Pickett; and a brother, Johnnie R. Pickett.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Waterloo, with burial at 2:30 p.m. in North Lawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge. Public visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home.
