WATERLOO — Sadie Irene Huegli, 95, of Waterloo, died Monday, June 28, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 1, 1914, in Waterloo, daughter of Edward and Julia Douglass. She married Elmer Hinrichs; they later divorced. She married Elmer Huegli on April 7, 1947. He died in 1993.

She graduated from Waterloo East High in 1933. She worked for Rath Packing. She had numerous jobs in Waterloo, retiring as a cafeteria worker from West High. She was a member of the Evansdale AMVETS Auxiliary and Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survived by: three sons, Gary (Bonnie) Hinrichs of Phoenix, Larry (Linda) Huegli of Tucson, Ariz., and Terry (Jan) Huegli of Waterloo; eight grandchildren, Jill and Brian Hinrichs, Dawn, Allan, Scott, Tracey, Wendy and Torey Huegli; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a sister; and two brothers.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Waterloo, with burial in Garden of Memories. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

She enjoyed playing cards, especially "Pepper" tournaments, and going to the casino.
