Funeral services Monday
for Edward R. Kubik, 83,
at Zion in Waterloo

A celebration of the life of Edward R. Kubik, 83, was held Monday, April 30, at Zion Lutheran Church in Waterloo with burial in the Hudson Cemetery.

Mr. Kubik was born October 21, 1923, the son of Joseph and Mary Yuska Kubik.

He married Esther Woehlk on March 1, 1943, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Edward farmed south of Hudson for over 50 years and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Waterloo and the Cedar Valley Polka Club.

Ed is survived by: his wife, Esther of Waterloo; one son, Bruce Kubik of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Monica (Steve) Caslavka of Hudson; one sister: Emma (Leslie) Bern of Reinbeck; three grandchildren, Amy (Rich) Hasley of Cedar Rapids, Bryan (Lesley) Kubik of Cedar Rapids, Shawn (Ashley) Caslavka of Hudson and three great grandchildren, Ashley Hasley, Emily Kubik and Jayson Kubik.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; one grandson, Chad Kubik; one daughter-in-law; Karen S. Kubik; four brothers; Joe, Frank, Milo and Ted; three sisters; Mary Stanek, Hermenia Dostal, and Albia Mareska.

A Memorial Fund has been established.

The Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball in charge of arrangements.
