WATERLOO - Dennis Allen Krutsinger, 51, of Waterloo, died Monday, June 14, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born Aug. 31, 1958, in Waterloo, son of Herman and Mary Fecht Krutsinger. He married Renee Pietan June 15, 1985, at the Youth Foundation bingo hall.

Mr. Krutsinger graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1977. During high school, he worked at the Speedway gas station on Franklin for many years. He also volunteered as a cook for the many volunteers for the MDA telethon for several years.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Dusty of Waterloo; a brother, Daniel (DeAnn) of Janesville; two sisters, Rebecca (Ronald) Young and Barbara (Al) Ross, both of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: his parents; and a brother, Dale.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Dennis was the National Poster Child for the MDA in 1971 but missed meeting Jerry Lewis that year because he was sick. He will be remembered as a man who loved bingo, enjoyed cooking, baking, computer games, crocheting, playing chess and pepper and his sharp wit.
