WATERLOO - Richard M. "Rick" Krantz, 54, of Seattle, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 3, in Seattle of cancer.

He was born April 29, 1956, in Waterloo, son of Harold and Virginia Hahn Krantz.

He graduated from Columbus High School in 1974 and received his mechanical engineering degree from Iowa State University. He was employed with Boeing for 32 years.

Survived by: four brothers, John (Liz) of Encinitas, Calif., Francis "Bud" (Teresa) of Waterloo, David (Rose) of Englewood, Colo., and Alan of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: his parents.

Memorial service: will be held at a later date in Waterloo. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway assisted the family.
