Bess E. Corell, 86, of 1840 Third St., died Monday 18, at Allen Memorial Hospital of a heart condition.

She was born April 16, 1906, in Lost Nation, daughter of Hildenbrand and Rosemond Gardner Kammer. She married Harold Corell on June 10, 1926, in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1968.

Mrs. Corell was employed by Iowa State Travelers Mutual Insurance Co. of Des Moines, retiring in 1971. She was a graduate of Coe College.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Culver of Waterloo and Ann Murphy of Berryville, Ark., two sons, Richard of Mount Pleasant and James of Buffalo, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, with burial at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Cedar Memorial Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home.
