CEDAR FALLS - Charles Lee Adams, 79, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, May 27, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 12, 1930, in Iowa Falls, son of Horace and Virginia Schuller Adams. He married Joanne E. Finholt May 14, 1953, in Waverly.

He graduated from Waverly High School in 1948 and attended Wartburg College. Mr. Adams was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a carpet salesman for McCoskey Furniture and Carpet Land, retiring in 1994.

Survived by: his wife, Joanne; two sons, Doug of Des Moines and David (Shelly) of Clear Lake; a daughter, Denise (Kurt) Braby of Morning Sun; five grandchildren, Kale and Kassidi Braby, Ozzie, Brock, and McGuire Adams; and three sisters, Betty (Keith) Scully of Austin, Texas, Pat (Larry) Neukirch of Moscow Mills, Mo., and Barbara (LeRoy) Kohagen of Westminister, Colo.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Visitation for an hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
