ELK RUN HEIGHTS - Anthony Michael Haas, 76, of Elk Run Heights, died Friday, May 28, at home.

He was born May 10, 1934, in Sibley, son of Michael and Elizabeth Hodapp Haas. He married Irene Kay Rien on June 1, 1960, in Madison, Minn.

Mr. Haas served in the U. S. Army. He was employed with Chamberlain Manufacturing from 1966-1978, and John Deere for 12 years, retiring in August of 1993. He was employed with Varsity Cleaners for two years.

Survived by: his wife, Irene; a son, Michael Anthony (Beckie) of Evansdale; four daughters, Cindy Kay (Dave) Richardson of Waterloo, Monica Jane (Steve) Shea of Dysart, Rebecca Joan Haas of Waterloo and Melissa Sue (Chad) Gorby of Evansdale; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Frances (Walter) Bornhorst, Theresa (Bernard) Vonderharr, Betty (Joe) Schneider all of Madison, Minn., Joan (Roger) Grammond of Baker, Mont., Cathy (Stan) Mueller of Ortonville, Minn., Marilyn (Bill) Henson of Mitchell, S.D., and Josephine (Bill) Casey of Eagan, Minn.; four brothers, Leo (Fran), Lawrence, John and Herman (Eileen), all of Madison, Minn.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South St, where there will be a 4 p.m. 4th degree Knights of Columbus rosary and 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
