CEDAR FALLS - Dora A. Reiners, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, May 20, at Western Home Communities of natural causes.

She was born Nov. 29, 1922, in Waterloo, daughter of Lee and Jeneva McGonegal Earnest. She married Dyer H. Reiners on Aug. 17, 1946. He died Nov. 16, 2003.

She attended St. Johns Scared Heart School and Lowell School in Waterloo. Mrs. Reiners was a homemaker, worked at Waterloo Laundry, Chamberlain Co. and Rath Packing. The couple owned and operated, Reiners Auction Sales in Waterloo and Windy Acres Auction in Waverly for more than 30 years.

Survived by: a son, Dean (Janet) of Council Bluffs; a daughter, Donna (Paul) Gibson of Cedar Falls; five granddaughters, Robyn Swartz, Amy Swartz, Angela (Tom) Steinick, Christine (Craig) Gochenour and Elizabeth Reiners (fiancé Zach Allen); and a great-granddaughter, Emma Ross.

Preceded in death by: her husband; three sisters, Helen Reiners, Leona Reiners and Olive Maklenberg; and two brothers, Charles and Harrison Earnest.

Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. Monday at Western Home Communities Chapel, with a private family burial at a later date. Visitation for an hour before services Monday at the chapel. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, An Overton Family Service, is assisting the family.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or to the family.

Dora will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but leaves us with special memories of wonderful family times together.
