CEDAR FALLS — Sally Ann Tewalt, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, April 20, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born Feb. 11, 1927, in Jewell, daughter of U.G. and Minnie Mary Condict Pedersen. She married Kenneth Tewalt on Oct. 5, 1946, at Schaller.

Mrs. Tewalt worked for AEA 7, testing hearing for the children in Waterloo Community School System for 19 years, retiring in 1989.

Survived by: her husband; three daughters, Susan (Paul) Conaway of Denver, Colo., Marcella T. (James) Clark of Golden, Colo., and Catherine D. (Ken) St. Cyr of Blue Bell, Pa.; a son, James T (Karen) of Franklin, N.C.; a grandson, Chad (Tamara) Mienders of San Jose, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Madeline.

Preceded in death by: her parents; and two sisters, Marie Pedersen and Virginia Russell.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Western Home Communities.
