WATERLOO — Keith F. Roth, 85, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, April 21, at home of natural causes.

He was born Aug. 20, 1924, in Dysart, son of Floyd and Freda Hupfeld Roth. He married Maxine Thompson May 11, 1947, in Dysart. She died Nov. 21, 1997.

Mr. Roth attended Waterloo West High School and worked for Titus Manufacturing for 26 years, retiring in 1978.

He served in the U.S. Army in the European theater and received the Purple Heart.

Survived by: two daughters, Peggy (Ted) Weaver of Shell Rock and Brenda (Mike Adams) of Waterloo; a daughter-in-law, Rachel of Norwalk; five grandchildren, Tom Murphy, Rehgan, Jamison, Samantha Weaver and Shane Weaver; four great-grandchildren, Kelsey Leavens, Andrew Leavens, Noah Happel and Seth Weaver; a special friend, Jane Abbott; and a brother, Harold of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: a son, Dan; and a brother, Marvin.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19, Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Waterloo Army National Guard First Battalion 133rd Infantry. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial fund: will be established.
