WATERLOO — Donald K. Grekoff, 65, of Waterloo, died Sunday, April 11, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born July 29, 1944, in Waterloo, son of Pete and Alma Sanders Grekoff. He married Linda J. Cameron on July 22, 1966, in Waterloo. She died June 4, 2007.

He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1964. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Grekoff had worked as a supervisor at Skyview and later Hillcrest Drive Inn for many years until it closed. He was a custodian for the Waterloo Community Schools, including Jewett, Elk Run and Lincoln Schools for over 24 years.

Survived by: a daughter, Stephanie Barker of Clarksville; a son, Douglas (Jennifer) of La Porte City; seven grandchildren; a sister, Donna Mae (Delvin) Liverance of Evansdale; and his former son-in-law, Ron Barker of Clarksville.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Shirley Atkinson; and an infant brother, Pete.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
