WATERLOO — Stella J. Thomas, 85, of Waterloo, died Saturday, April 3, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Storm Lake, daughter of James L. and Ethel L. White Geary. She married Robert D. Thomas in June 1947 in Waterloo. He died Feb. 12, 2000.

Survived by: a son, James (Sarah) of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Katherine M. Caya of Waterloo and Mary Ann (Danny) Paredes of Zapata, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Private family services: will be held, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Hagarty–Waychoff–Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.
