CEDAR FALLS — Mildred L. Wilkinson, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, March 29, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 28, 1921, in Dows, daughter of Samuel P. and Anna Kothenbeutal Stokes. She married Gerald E. Wilkinson on May 1, 1944, in Los Angeles. He preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1996.

Mrs. Wilkinson was a graduate of Hampton High School and worked at J.C. Penney for 23 years, retiring in 1982.

Survived by: three sisters, Frances Dirks of Council Bluffs and Velma Harris and Bernice Hogan, both of Duluth, Minn.

Preceded in death by: two sisters, Isabell Stokes and Avelyn Sayre; and two brothers, Milton and Gerald Stokes.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Hampton Cemetery, Hampton. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.
