WATERLOO - Ella M. Hartman, 92, of Waterloo, died at home Thursday, March 25, of natural causes.

She was born March 10, 1918, in Waterloo, daughter of William and Sophia Schnieder Schmidt. She married Carl H. Hartman on Oct. 23, 1945, in Readlyn. He died Aug. 17, 1985.

Mrs. Hartman was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Survived by: a son, Dennis (Rachel) of Omaha, Neb.; a son-in-law, Richard Sines of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Sheila (David) Sines Thomasson, Rodney (Jennifer) Hartman and Matthew (Brooke Wiese) Hartman; and three great-grandchildren, Ella Grace Sines Thomasson and Peyton and Colbie Hartman.

Preceded in death by: a daughter, Bonnie Sines; and two brothers, Harold and Elmer Schmidt.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, followed by a luncheon, then burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the church or Meals on Wheels.

Ella loved making quilts and crocheting blankets for her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
