WATERLOO — Charles "Dick" Love, 71, of Huntsville, Ala., formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 17, at Huntsville Hospital, Alabama.

He was born Sept. 30, 1938, in Waterloo, son of Ambrose and Lucille Hull Love. He married Ruth Walther on June 22, 1958, in Waterloo. She died Oct. 16, 2008.

Mr. Love was a machinist/inspector at John Deere for 34 years, retiring in 1992.

Survived by: three sons, Todd and Mark (Alba), both of Madison, Ala., and Timothy (Sandra) of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, LeeRoy (Martha) of Napanee, Ind.; a sister, Peggy Jane (Robert) Dean of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: two sisters, Joyce Van Horne and Nancy Staub.

Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
