CEDAR FALLS -- Kenneth E. Loy, 73, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes.

He was born July 4, 1927, in Waterloo, son of Jesse and Nora Murphy Loy. He married Jennaven Peters on April 30, 1949, in Waterloo.

Mr. Loy was employed at the Illinois Central Railroad, Waterloo, for 32 years, retiring in 1981. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Survived by: his wife; four daughters, Colleen Fanton of Waterloo, Nancy Klinger of Omaha, Neb., and Patricia Huff and Diane McFarlane, both of Cedar Falls; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd of Alexandria, Va.; and four sisters, Vi Heinen and Barbara Fowler, both of Waterloo, Jessie Richter of Cedar Falls and Evelyn Papash of Galena, Ill.

Preceded in death by: a daughter, Sally Rindels; three sisters; and four brothers.

Services: were 10 a.m. today at Orchard Hill Reformed Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in the Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Military rites were conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Richardson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
