WATERLOO -- Richard "J.J." Horner, 66, of Cambridge, Minn., formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at Fairview Princeton Hospital, Princeton, Minn., of cancer.

He was born Sept. 1, 1933, in Waterloo, son of Merle and Maude Horner. He married Mae Belle Pearl on Oct. 6, 1979.

Mr. Horner had been employed by the post office in Bensonville, Ill., and also worked for Navistar Corp., Bensonville.

Survived by: his wife; a stepson, Tony Stewart of Isanti, Minn.; three stepgrandchildren; two brothers, James of Atlanta and Eugene of Lincoln, Neb.; and a sister, Sandra Webrand of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: his twin brother, Robert; and a sister, Betty Bruns.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, with burial in North Isanti Baptist Cemetery, both in Cambridge. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cambridge Funeral Home-Strike Chapel, Cambridge, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
