WATERLOO -- Ruth M. Crisman, 99, of Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, died Monday, May 3, 1999, at the center of natural causes.

She was born April 1, 1900, in Waterloo, daughter of Roger D. "Doe" and Nora J. Thomas Strayer. She married Everett M. Crisman on June 22, 1921, in Waterloo. He died May 9, 1962.

Survived by: two sons, Earl N. of Waterloo and James E. of Dallas, Texas; and nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a son, Roger; three grandchildren and a great-grandson; and a sister, Florence Strayer.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
