WATERLOO -- Lula P. Puhl, 83, of 201 W. Ridgeway Ave., died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center of natural causes.

She was born April 26, 1916, in Palmira, Mo., daughter of Grant and Ida LeMaster Anderson. She married Onno Johnson on June 28, 1937, in Nashua. He preceded her in death. She married Edward Puhl on April 20, 1963, in Galena, Ill.

Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Marlene Theis of Ocala, Fla.; a son, James C. Johnson of Minneapolis; and five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

Preceded in death by: two brothers and five sisters.

Graveside services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Garden of Memories. There will be no visitation. Parrott & Wood Family Funeral Care is in charge of arrangements
