WATERLOO - Richard H. Moore, 76, of Waterloo, died Friday, March 19, at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, Iowa City.

He was born May 6, 1933, in Denver, son of Lloyd and Elsbeth Jolley Moore. He married Nancy Emken. They were later divorced. He married L. Jean Roethler in June of 1971.

Mr. Moore graduated from Denver High School. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U. S. Navy. He was employed with Rath Packing Company for 33 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Waterloo Elks Club.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Steve (Sue) of Cedar Falls and Tim (Renee) of Des Moines; a daughter, Sheryl (Bob) Pommrehn of Waterloo; two stepdaughters, Sondra Boss of Des Moines and Connie (Mark) Meinders of Waverly; nine grandchildren, Stacy, April, Amber, Austin, Kim, Laura, Aaron, Zach and Holly; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Dean; and a brother, James Moore of Davenport.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Marilyn Kobliska; and an infant brother.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted by Waterloo Amvets Post 19, Evansdale Amvets Post 31 and the Iowa Army National Guard. Public visitation will be from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Dick is best remembered as "Grandpa Pie" by his grandchildren and he loved to get OOOOO's (hugs) from the grandchildren. He loved to bowl and belonged to four bowling leagues at Maple Lanes.
