CEDAR FALLS - Grace Anita Sampica Taylor, 81, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, March 16, at Cedar Falls Health Care Center of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 28, 1929, in Milwaukee, daughter of Earnest and Amanda White Sampica. She married John Taylor Jr. on Sept. 20, 1947, in Dunkerton. He died May 2, 2008.

She attended school in Wisconsin and was a home health care aide at Allen Hospital. Mrs. Taylor was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Evansdale.

Survived by: a son, John E. (Jennifer) of Lead Hill, Ark.; a daughter, Roberta McKim of Waukee; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Regis Sampica of Evansdale and David Sampica of Pine City, Minn.; six sisters, Bernice Paul of Wilton, Conn., Mary Sampica of Boise, Idaho, Gloria (Tony) Juan of San Francisco, Joyce (Bob) McMurrin of Cedar Falls, Phyllis (John) Derifield of Waterloo and Marcia (Corky) Halverson of Evansdale; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Gerald and Bernard Sampica; and three sisters, Catherine Rodulovich, Threasa Trusty and Ruth Timmer.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Evansdale, with burial in Poyner Township Cemetery. Public visitation 5 to 8 p.m. today at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Grace enjoyed good food, her family and traveling.
