WATERLOO - Georgia Ann Sommerfelt, 64, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 10, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, following a long illness.

She was born Oct. 11, 1945, in Waterloo, daughter of Warren and Mary Spooner Amo. She married Leroy Sommerfelt on April 27, 1974, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Mrs. Sommerfelt was a homemaker.

Survived by: her husband; three sons, Shawn Amo and Chad Sommerfelt, both of Waterloo, and John (Vicky) Sommerfelt of Marion; a daughter, Mary (Harry) Daugherty of Marion; seven grandchildren, Adam (Yelida) Kates, Anna Doneson, Alee Doneson, Adison Mixdorf, Ashley Sommerfelt, Austin Amo and Jared Amo; two great-grandchildren; her mother of Waterloo; a brother, Stephan (Deb) Amo of Sumner; and a sister, Bobette (Charles) Aries of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: her father; maternal grandparents, David and Frances Spooner; paternal grandparents, George and Elizabeth Amo; and a granddaughter, Dani Amo.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Visitation also an hour before services Monday at the church.
