WATERLOO — David B. Hamilton, 65, of Waterloo, died at home Monday, March 8, of heart failure.

He was born Feb. 28, 1945, in Fort Dodge, son of Robert Ludwig and Geraldine Jeanette Sampson Hamilton. He married Kathleen Mae Draheim on Oct. 27, 1973, in Hudson.

Mr. Hamilton graduated from Waterloo East High School and had worked as an over-the-road truck driver for 35 years. He spent the last 14 years working as a heavy equipment operator for Cedar Valley Construction.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, Paul Haresky of Coralville, Terry (Maria) Hamilton of Cedar Falls and David (Michelle) Hamilton of Dysart; four daughters, Tammy (Scott) Zeien of Garrison, Shellie (Tom) Siebel and Paulette (Henry) Jacobson, both of Dysart, and Tracey (Gordon) Peters of Traer; 25 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Jeannie (Ron) Brown-Kestel of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Shane; and a sister, Judy Cox.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Church of the Open Bible, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

David enjoyed gambling, playing computer games, traveling, and bowling and he loved his puppy "Max." He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
