CEDAR FALLS - Wilma Grace Cobb Happekotte, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Feb. 22, at her daughter's home in Waterloo of natural causes.

She was born March 28, 1917, in Waterloo, daughter of Leslie M. and Maude Bell Hill Cobb. She married Clarence J. Happekotte on Nov. 30, 1940, in Yuma, Ariz. He died Aug. 30, 1986.

Mrs. Happekotte graduated from Waterloo West High School. She and her husband owned and operated Hap's Welding Shop. She also was the comptroller for the Ramada Hotel, retiring in 1996. She was a past officer for SCORE and also a past national officer of Beta Sigma Phi.

Survived by: two daughters, Joanne Happekotte Moore of Waterloo and Sandra (Bob) Hein of St. David, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Lt. Colonel Timothy Joel (Lisa) Moore of Leesburg, Va., Rebecca J. Moore of Waterloo, Neal (Retha) Fouts of Dallas, Ore., Dori (George) Griffiths of Arvada, Colo., Noel Fouts of Dallas and Philip S. (Suzan) Moore of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; five great-grandchildren, Ryan and Heather Griffiths, Chad Jerome "C.J." Fouts, Zachary and Conor Moore; and two sisters, Janice (Bill) Heffner of Industry, Ill., and Marlys Brightwell of Phoenix.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Leland and Donald Cobb; and a sister, Anita Crawford.

Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Public visitation from 11 a.m. until services Tuesday at funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Mother was a ceramic teacher for years and had won many awards with her brilliant talent.
