WATERLOO — Clifford E. Damm, 85, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

He was born Nov. 18, 1924, in Dike, son of Carl and Cora Lynn Damm. He married Jean Nagel on April 20, 1946, in Waterloo.

Mr. Damm worked as a machinist for John Deere Co. for 36 years before retiring and had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, David and Richard, both of Waterloo, and Dennis (Teresa) of Moore, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Shirley) of San Diego; and two sisters, Donna (George) Tarbuk of Pennsylvania and Lynn Gilchrist of California.

Preceded in death by: his parents.

Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1623. Public visitation from 11 a.m. until services Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials: may be directed to the family, in lieu of flowers.
