CEDAR FALLS - LaVonne Maxine Wickers, 82, of the Cedar Falls Health Care Center, died Saturday, Feb. 20, at Sartori Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Grundy Center, daughter of Ella Wickers. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1947.

In her younger years, Ms. Wicker worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone as an operator and later in life was a secure sitter for the elderly. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church, Elk Run Heights.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at New Beginnings Wesleyan Church, Waterloo, preceded by an hour of visitation. Burial will be at a later date in Rosehill Cemetery, Grundy Center. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.
