WATERLOO - Craig Carpenter, 49, of Waterloo, died Monday, Feb. 22, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of acute myeloid leukemia.

He was born Feb. 22, 1961, in Waterloo, son of William Robert and Clara L. Hagedorn Carpenter. He married Wonda Clos on June 11, 2009, in Evansdale.

Mr. Carpenter worked as a laborer at FirstCo Inc.

Survived by: his wife; two stepsons, Jacob Clos of Elk Run Heights and Jerred Clos of Waterloo; three brothers, William E. (Julie), Duane G., and Michael W. of Shell Lake, Wis.; and a sister, Diane J. Carpenter Phillips of Vinton.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Robert.

Public visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Garden View Chapel, followed by cremation.
