WATERLOO - Evelyn J. Heltibridle, 98, of Waterloo, died Monday, Feb. 8, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Sept. 25, 1911, in Dinsdale, daughter of Leslie Earl and Mary Bicket Stark. She married Ralph E. Heltibridle on June 28, 1935, in Grundy Center. He died Aug. 21, 1971.

Mrs. Heltibridle was a secretary at Grundy Center High School and also for an optometrist in Charles City.

Survived by: a son, Richard S. of Waterloo; two daughters, Marjory L. (Joe) Bever of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and Diane J. Nowell of Waterloo; a sister, Marjory Fritzel of Wellsburg; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by: an infant son, Paul Dodd; two brothers, Richard and William Stark; two sisters, Gladys Verly and Grace Akin; and a granddaughter.

Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, Waterloo, with burial in Alice Union Cemetery, rural Grundy Center. Public visitation from 11 a.m. until services Thursday at the funeral home.
