WATERLOO - Eugene Duane "Punk" Simpson, 48, of Waterloo, died at home Thursday, Feb. 4.

He was born Feb. 21, 1961, in Cedar Falls, son of Charles A. and Sharon Corwin Simpson. He married Janet Baggs on Nov. 8, 1980, and they later divorced.

Mr. Simpson was self-employed as an auto mechanic for several years in the local area and was a member of Harvest Vineyard Church.

Survived by: two sons, Charles (Rose) and Wesley, both of Waterloo; a daughter, Stacy (Mat) Simpson of La Porte City; two grandchildren; his stepfather and mother, Charles E. Sr. and Sharon Penticoff of Cedar Falls; his father of California; five sisters, Chantel (Ivan) Penticoff of Cedar Falls, Kiana Wright of Virginia, Tracy (Kevin) Frisch of Dike, Shawna (Brian) Hagen of New Hartford and Korina (Ewald) von Aswege of Holland; and a brother, Charles E. Penticoff Jr. of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: paternal grandparents, Duane and Dorthy Simpson; and maternal grandparents, Dale and June Corwin.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Harvest Vineyard Church, Waterloo, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Public visitation noon until services Thursday at the church. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
