CEDAR FALLS - Kirk L. Smith, 62, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Jan. 30, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born March 30, 1947, in Waterloo, son of Paul E. and Eva M. Larson Smith. He married Beverly Doehrmann on May 23, 1982, in Williamsburg.

Mr. Smith graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1966. He was employed as a professional photographer at McNally’s Photography and later as a self-employed professional photographer.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Bailey of Oklahoma (currently in the Arabian Peninsula with the U.S. Air Force); a daughter, Trischa R. (Craig Tucker) Smith of Waterloo; a granddaughter; his mother of Cedar Falls; a brother, Carl (Deb) of Waterloo; and a sister, Martha (Don) Norton of Robins.

Family-directed memorial service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Richardson Funeral Home assisted the family.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, Cedar Falls Healthcare Center, the church, or the family.
