CEDAR FALLS - Aurel Anne Henry, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Jan. 15, at Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center.

She was born Oct. 8, 1926, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls, daughter of Ralph and Anna Walker Mitchell. She married John F. Henry on June 30, 1948, in Cedar Falls.

She attend Iowa State Teachers College. She was employed at Black Hawk Abstract for two years, farmed with her husband, and was an organist at the Community Church of Hudson.

Survived by: a son, Ronald (Lori) of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Leigh Anne Cox of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Patricia Kay (David) Gordon of Evergreen, Colo.; four grandchildren, Ash (Sarah) Henry, Emily (Brock) Schmidt, Adam Henry and Katherine Cox; and two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Henry and Addison Schmidt.

Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; a son-in-law, Clifford Theodore "Ted" Cox; a granddaughter, Jennifer Anne Cox; and a sister, Fran Mitchell.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Community Church of Hudson, with burial preceding at 10 a.m. Thursday in Mount Vernon Township Cemetery, rural Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home.
