WATERLOO - Patty Lynn McNamara, 66, of Waterloo, died at her home Thursday, Jan. 14, of cancer.

She was born Oct. 19, 1943, in Farragut, Idaho, daughter of Paul E. and Mary Virginia Hickey McMahon. She married Paul F. McNamara on April 27, 1963, at St. Edward Catholic Church, Waterloo.

Survived by: her husband; three sons, Paul (Margie) of Waterloo, Jeff of Phoenix and Steve (Kay) of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two daughters, Lorie (Glen) Thomas of Waterloo and Jenny (Nick) Smith of Davenport; 13 grandchildren, Kristen and Kelley McNamara, Gabby McNamara, Jacob Keller, Tyler and Dylan Smith, Katelyn, Matthew and Nathan Thomas, Ashley, Amber and Austin McNamara, and April Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Kinley Lyons, Kaylee Blackburne and Alyssa Wilson; her mother of Waterloo; three sisters, Marge Jensen of Iowa City, Kate (Ardie) Miller of Bettendorf and Julie Perkins of Waterloo; and three brothers, Steve (Sue) and Paul J. (Denise) McMahon, both of Waterloo, and Brad (Sandra) McMahon of Springfield, Mo.

Preceded in death by: her father; and an infant brother, John Paul McMahon.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service. There will be no visitation at the church on Tuesday.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or American Cancer Society.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
