Funeral services for Edward J. Quinn, 70, of 315 E. Thompson Ave., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic church. Mr. Quinn died at 5:40 a.m. Sunday morning at St. Francis hospital of a brain tumor.

The Rt. Rev. Duane Brady, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. There will be a Holy Name rosary at 8 p.m. Monday at the O'Keefe and Towne funeral home and a parish rosary at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Quinn was born June 6, 1889, in Armour, S.D., son of James and Susan Lynch Quinn. He came to Waterloo in 1907 and married Bertha M. Klein on June 17, 1913, here.

He was an employe of the Big T Supermarket until he retired in 1958. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church, the Holy Name Society and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Mr. Quinn is survived by six sons, James J. of 149 Argyle St., Dr. John E. of Fresno, Calif., Richard P. of Rockford, Ill., Dale J. of Sepulveda, Calif., Thomas F. of 203 Allen St., and Russell E. of 1516 Bertch Ave.; four daughters, Mrs. Joseph Kemp, Fairbank; Mrs. Leonard Reese, Cedar Falls; Mrs. Paul Kirsch, 59 Franklin St., and Miss Annette Quinn, Long Beach, Calif.; one twin brother, Joseph, of Coeur d'Alene, Ida., and three sisters, Mrs. Earl Diamond of Hudson, Mrs. Paul Klein of 279 Hammond Ave., and Mrs. Floyd Mabb of 113 Hammond Ct. Forty grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded by his parents and two brothers.
