WATERLOO - Marjorie Bowser-Gimpel, 68, of Shell Rock, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, January 1, 2010, at Covenant Medical Center after a long illness.

She was born January 5, 1941, in Waterloo, daughter of Chalmer and Delores Muir. She married Gary Greenley in 1955, and they later divorced. She married George Bowser in 1959, and they later divorced. She married James Gimpel in 1985.

Survived by three sons, Gary Bowser of Jesup, George Bowser of Waterloo and Gerald (Jennifer) Bowser of Evansdale; two daughters, Denise Bowser and Debbie Kemp, both of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Heather, Michaela, Daniel, Mikayla and Madison; three brothers, Larry, Jerry and Jody Muir, all of Waterloo; a sister, Janice Muir of Waterloo; and her beloved dog, Scarlett.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ronnie Muir; a sister, Wanda Derifield; and a son-in-law, James Kemp.

Private family memorial service: were held.
