WATERLOO - Marian Hansen, 88, of the Quad Cities, formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, Dec. 28, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, Ill.

She was born May 24, 1921, in Waterloo, daughter of Arnold and Dorothy Smith Garland. She married Earl Hansen on May 27, 1943, in New Hartford. He died Sept. 1, 1974.

Survived by: two sons, David E. (Jane) of Tustin Ranch, Calif., and Jerry W. of Port Byron, Ill.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Emilee Hansen, both of California; a sister, Joan (Chuck) Granger of Waterloo; and a brother, Rev. Lawrence (Mary) Garland of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Emery and Harold Garland; and a sister, Jean Sternat.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and for an hour before services Wednesday.
