CEDAR FALLS - Louise Schurman, 99, of Cedar Falls, died at home Wednesday, Dec. 30.

She was born March 29, 1910, near Grundy Center, daughter of John and Helena Stroh Johnson. She married Jelle Jack Schurman on Nov. 21, 1929, at the Reformed Church, Aplington. He preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1978.

Before her retirement, she worked for Hinson Manufacturing for 19 years.

Survived by: three sons, LaVern (Yvonne) and Duane (Sherry), both of Cedar Falls, and Dennis (Cathrine) of Waterloo; three daughters, Donna Payne of Cedar Falls, Janice (Stephen) Fisher of Fairbank and Linda (Larry) Daniels of Dike; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; two brothers, John Johnson Jr. and Earl Johnson; two sisters, Pearl Christopherson and Helen Bramblett; a granddaughter, Yvette Schurman; and a son-in-law, Benne Buss.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Bible Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Public visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or the church.
