WASHBURN - Arlene R. Rahe, 70, of Washburn, died Saturday, Dec. 26, at ManorCare Health Services, Waterloo.

She was born Feb. 27, 1939, in Waterloo, daughter of Clayton and Edna Keller Fike. She married Don Rahe Jr. on May 7, 1961, in Waterloo. He died Dec. 23, 2003.

Mrs. Rahe graduated from Waterloo West High School and took a job in the office at Rath Packing Co., Waterloo. She left Rath to raise her two daughters and later was employed at Bishop’s Buffet for several years.

Survived by: two daughters, Sheryl Rossow and Pamela Pontenberg; seven grandchildren; and two sisters, Daisy Wildebour and Wanda Keefler.

Preceded in death by: three sisters, Elsie, Mary and Joanne; three brothers, Cecil, Kenneth and Leo Fike; and a granddaughter.

Private family Services: were held, with interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, assisted the family.
