CEDAR FALLS - Herbert H. Buenzow, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Dec. 26, at Windsor Nursing & Rehab Center.

He was born Aug. 13, 1929, in Bremer County, son of John and Clara Ganske Buenzow. He married Shirley Bruns on May 24, 1959, in Denver.

Mr. Buenzow worked for the railway postal service for seven years and then the US Postal Service in Cedar Falls from 1962 until his retirement in 1987.

Survived by: his wife; three nieces; and three nephews.

Preceded in death by: his parents; a sister, Myrtle Wood; and a brother, Leslie.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church, with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services Tuesday at the church. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials: may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church, Beacon of Hope Hospice, or the American Parkinson Disease Association.
