WATERLOO - Esther N. Scott, 95, of Waterloo, died Friday, Dec. 25, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab.

She was born Oct. 30, 1914, in Woodbine, daughter of Walter Edward and Edith Adeline Stiehl Harper. She married Winston Hoxie Scott on June 4, 1939, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death July 8, 1981.

She was employed at the National Bank of Waterloo and retired from the Trust and Accounting Department of the Waterloo Savings Bank after a number of years of service.

She was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church until its closing, when she joined the Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church.

Survived by: two sons, Winston Thomas "Tom" (Gay) of Cape Canaveral, Fla., and William Harper (Judy) of Appleton, Wis.; a daughter, Sue A. Rinkleff of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Lawrence and Floyd; two sisters, Grace Stansbury and Mary Bowers; and a son-in-law, Frank Rinkleff.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and for an hour before services Thursday.
