WATERLOO - Delbert C. J. Reincke, 88, of Waterloo, died Monday, Dec. 21, at ManorCare Health Services.

He was born March 21, 1921, in Monona, son of Fredrick and Louise Apple Reincke. He married Joyce M. Flack on Oct. 30, 1946, at the Little Brown Church. She died Nov. 27, 2007.

Mr. Reincke worked at Rath Meat Packing, retiring in 1983. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survived by: five daughters, Julie Reincke, Carol Burger and Susan Reincke, all of Waterloo, Shirley (Jim) Garrison of Desoto and Pam (Don) Fintel of Lebannon, Mo.; six sons, Roger (Pauline), Jeff (Pam), Bryan and John, all of Waterloo, Doug (Merri Elin) of Boise, Idaho., and Jason (Julie) of Beaverton, Ore.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Fred (Mabel) of Albuquerque, N.M.

Preceded in death by: his wife; and a daughter, Mary Louise Reincke.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home, with military rites by VFW Post #1623 and American Legion Post #138. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
