WATERLOO - Ruth E. Rubert, 88, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 8, 1921, in Independence, daughter of E. Vernon and Clara P. Ellis Haderer. She married Max Rubert on Dec. 31, 1940, in Independence. He died March 26, 1991.

Mrs. Rubert was employed with the credit bureau for 12 years, retiring in 1979.

Survived by: a son, Thomas M. (Lynn) of Waterloo; a daughter, Marianne (Larry) Skeries of Waterloo; a grandson, Michael (Tina) Skeries of Fort Dodge; two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Abbey Lea; and a brother, E. Vernon Haderer of Harlington, Texas.

Preceded in death by: an infant daughter, Barbara Jean.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Waterloo, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
