WATERLOO - Jack W. Rigdon, 81, of Muscatine, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, Nov. 22, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.
He was born Aug. 4, 1928, in Waterloo, son of Neal and Lucille E. Webster Rigdon. He married Nancy Lee on June 24, 1951, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. She died Jan. 15, 2009.
Mr. Rigdon managed Pla-Mor Lanes, Muscatine, for a short time, then became a Prudential Insurance salesman.
Survived by: six daughters, Catherine (Larry) Snyder, Caran (Ron) Evans, Jackie (Kevin) Edwards and Candace (James) Barfield, all of Muscatine, Nealene Freese (Todd Schneider) of Wilton and Carolyn (Clark) Tiecke of Salem, Ore.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: a sister-in-law, Nancy; and a son-in-law, Michael Freese.
Celebration of Life: 11 a.m. Dec. 21 at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, with inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Muscatine. Public visitation from 9:30 a.m. until services at the funeral home.
Memorials: may be directed to the Muscatine Humane Society in his name.
