CEDAR FALLS - Donald L. Davidson, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Nov. 22, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of brain cancer.

He was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Duncombe, son of Thomas D. and Lucile E. Briggs Davidson. He married Rowena E. Garrett on Sept. 4, 1950, in Waterloo.

Mr. Davidson graduated from Duncombe High School in 1944 and attended Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1950 and his master’s degree in 1952. He taught business education in Spirit Lake in 1953, then in Waterloo from 1954 to 1989. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean conflict.

Survived by: his wife; two sons, Thomas (Michele) of Lino Lakes, Minn., and James (Helen) of Arden Hills, Minn.; two daughters, Jeanne (Eben) Kent of Columbus, Ohio, and Anne (Richard) Halbmaier of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris (Horace) Adams of Humboldt.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, with inurnment at 10 a.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation from 12:30 p.m. until services Wednesday at the church, with a 12:30 p.m. rosary. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice Home or St. Patrick Catholic School.
