WATERLOO - Elsie Ilene White, 88, of Waterloo, died Friday, Nov. 13, at Allen Hospital of pneumonia.

She was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Manchester, daughter of Louie and Frances Frailey Blankenship. She married Robert O. White on Nov. 1, 1945, in Cedar Rapids. He died July of 1993.

Mrs. White worked as a legal secretary for several law firms.

Survived by: a son, Jeff of Waterloo; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Connolly of Urbandale; and three grandchildren, Nathan, Kelly and Colleen Connolly.

Preceded in death by: two sons, Robert Jr. at birth and Gregory; a brother, Earl Blankenship; and two sisters, Elna Reggentine and Eva Downs.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Public visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. today and for an hour before services Monday at the chapel.

Memorials: may be directed to the family.

Elsie enjoyed reading, her family and when she was younger, golfing. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
