LICHTY, TOMPKINS LUBBS

WATERLOO - Helen L. Lichty, 95, of Parkview Gardens Nursing & Rehab Center, died there Saturday, Nov. 7.

She was born Nov. 16, 1913, in Waterloo, daughter of Clarence H. and Erma Tompkins Lubbs. She married Olin Lichty on Jan. 23, 1948, in Waterloo. He died Feb. 2, 1978.

She and her brother owned and operated Home Bakery in downtown Waterloo for 20 years.

She was a member of Hammond Avenue Brethren Church.

Survived by: many cousins.

Preceded in death by: a son in infancy; a brother, John "Bud" Lubbs; two stepsons, Olin Lichty Jr. and Richard Lichty; and a stepgrandson.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, with burial in Orange Township Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services at the church. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
