Funeral of Greek Soldier is Largely Attended

The last rites over the remains of Private Harry Stanopolous, Co. F., took place from St. Luke's Episcopal church Wednesday afternoon. The Greek service was conducted by the Greek priest of Waterloo. Rev. John S. Cole, rector of St. Luke's conducted an English service and Mayor J. B. Newman, Cedar Falls, gave a short talk in behalf of the citizens of Cedar Falls. The high school glee club sang several selections. The battalion of the State Teachers' college, headed by the college band, escorted the body to its final resting place in the mausoleum, Greenwood. The church was crowded with the Greeks from the neighboring towns who came to pay their last respects to one of their own nationality, who, of his own accord, entered the army service last September and died at Camp Cody, Deming, N. M., Feb. 1, of pneumonia, following an attack of the measles.
